The Good Scoop is a Dixon based, Artisan small-batch ice cream shop that is committed to utilizing the abundance of local ingredients that have helped name our region the Farm to Fork Capital of America.

 

The Good Scoop is in one of the most agriculturally productive regions in the world, surrounded by amazing local foods and farms. We utilize our locally available agricultural products to bring you the highest quality Artisan ice cream.

Our shop is a welcoming and comfortable gathering place for the community where you can run into your neighbors, celebrate with your friends, have some quality time with your family, or just reward yourself with a scoop of ice cream. 

 

The Good Scoop was founded in February 2016 by brother and sister team, Marnie and Stephen Layton. They opened the ice cream shop in downtown Davis, and handle the day to day operations including making all the delicious ice cream. In 2017 Steve Clossick joined the team and brings lots of real-world experience to their family business.
